Seafood Congee

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a large pot, combine the rinsed rice and water. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  3. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 1 hour, or until the rice breaks down and the mixture becomes creamy.
  4. Add the shrimp, scallops, fish, and ginger to the pot. Stir well and let it cook for another 10 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through.
  5. Season the congee with salt and white pepper.
  6. Serve the seafood congee hot, garnished with chopped green onions and cilantro.
