Sausage and Peppers
This delicious sausage and peppers recipe is a classic Italian dish made with sautéed bell peppers, onions, and Italian sausage.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Sub rolls - 4
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Crushed red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Italian seasoning - 1 teaspoon
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 large, sliced
- Bell peppers - 2 large, sliced
- Italian sausage - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the sausage and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
- Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the bell peppers, onion, and garlic. Sauté until the vegetables are tender, about 8-10 minutes.
- Slice the cooked sausage into bite-sized pieces and return to the skillet with the vegetables.

- Toast the sub rolls and fill with the sausage and pepper mixture.
