- Pine nuts - 1/4 cup
- Raisins - 1/2 cup

- Sardines - 500 grams, cleaned and filleted

- Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the sardines and fry until golden brown on both sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the onions and cook until they are soft and translucent.
- Add the vinegar, raisins, and pine nuts to the pan. Cook for a few minutes until the vinegar has reduced slightly.
- Return the sardines to the pan and stir to coat them in the onion and vinegar mixture.
- Season with salt to taste.
- Let the dish cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
