Ingredients - Serves 8
- Bay leaves - 2
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Beef broth - 2 cups
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Onions - 2, sliced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 tablespoon
- Beef brisket - 4 pounds
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 325°F.
- Season the brisket with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe pot over medium-high heat. Add the brisket and sear on both sides until browned.
- Remove the brisket from the pot and set aside. Add the onions and garlic to the pot and cook until softened.
- Return the brisket to the pot. Add the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and bay leaves.
- Cover the pot and transfer to the oven. Cook for 3-4 hours, or until the brisket is tender.
- Remove the brisket from the pot and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with the onions and sauce from the pot.
