Sanjeok
Sanjeok is a Korean dish made with skewered and grilled meat and vegetables.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Wooden skewers - 8
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1/4 cup
- Zucchini - 1, cut into chunks
- Bell peppers - 2, cut into chunks
- Shiitake mushrooms - 8, stems removed
- Chicken breast - 1 pound, thinly sliced
- Beef sirloin - 1 pound, thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, sesame oil, and sesame seeds to make the marinade.
- Add the sliced beef and chicken to the marinade and let it marinate for at least 20 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated meat, mushrooms, bell peppers, and zucchini onto the wooden skewers.
- Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat is cooked through and the vegetables are tender.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
