Dak Kkochi

Ingredients - Serves 4
- Wooden skewers - 8, soaked in water for 30 minutes
- Green onions - 2, cut into 1-inch pieces
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Mirin - 1 tablespoon
- Gochujang (korean red chili paste) - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Boneless chicken thighs - 500 grams, cut into bite-sized pieces
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, sugar, minced garlic, gochujang, mirin, and sesame oil to make the marinade.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and mix well. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium heat.
- Thread the marinated chicken and green onions onto the soaked wooden skewers.
- Grill the skewers for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is fully cooked and slightly charred.
- Brush the skewers with the remaining marinade while grilling for extra flavor.
- Serve the dak-kkochi hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.
