Salsa Taquera
This traditional Mexican salsa is perfect for tacos and other Mexican dishes. It's spicy, tangy, and full of flavor.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt - To taste
- Cilantro - 1/2 cup, chopped
- White onion - 1/2, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Serrano chiles - 2
- Tomatillos - 4, husked and rinsed
Let's Get Started
- Place the tomatillos and serrano chiles in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the tomatillos are soft, about 10 minutes.
- Drain the tomatillos and chiles and place in a blender.
- Add the garlic, onion, cilantro, and salt to the blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Taste and adjust the salt if necessary.
- Let the salsa cool before serving.
