Salmonberry Jam

Ingredients - Serves 10

Let's Get Started

  1. Wash the salmonberries and remove any stems or leaves.
  2. In a large pot, combine the salmonberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently.
  3. Once the mixture is boiling, add the pectin and continue to boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove the pot from the heat and skim off any foam.
  5. Ladle the jam into sterilized jars, leaving 1/4 inch of headspace. Wipe the rims clean and seal with lids and bands.
  6. Process the jars in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes. Remove from the water and let cool completely.
  7. Check the seals to ensure they are tight. Store the jam in a cool, dark place for up to 1 year.
