  1. Melt the chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the sugar and eggs together until well combined.
  3. Slowly pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring constantly.
  4. Add the crushed Maria biscuits, chopped nuts, and Port wine to the chocolate mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Pour the mixture onto a piece of cling film and shape it into a log.
  6. Wrap the log tightly in the cling film and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  7. Once firm, unwrap the chocolate salami and slice it into rounds before serving.
