Sagot Gulaman
Sago't Gulaman is a refreshing Filipino drink made with tapioca pearls, gelatin, and brown sugar syrup.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Ice cubes - As desired
- Pandan leaves - 2 pieces
- Brown sugar - 1/2 cup
- Water - 4 cups
- Gulaman (gelatin) - 1 pack
- Tapioca pearls - 1/2 cup
Let's Get Started
- Cook the tapioca pearls according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the gulaman (gelatin) by following the instructions on the pack. Cut into small cubes.
- In a saucepan, combine water, brown sugar, and pandan leaves. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes to make the syrup. Remove the pandan leaves.
- In serving glasses, add a few tablespoons of cooked tapioca pearls and gulaman cubes.
- Pour the brown sugar syrup over the pearls and gulaman.
- Add ice cubes to each glass and stir gently to mix everything together.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
