Pearl Milk Tea
A popular Taiwanese drink, Pearl Milk Tea, also known as Bubble Tea, is a sweet and refreshing beverage with chewy tapioca pearls.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Ice cubes - 1 cup
- Milk - 1 cup
- Sugar - 1/2 cup
- Tapioca pearls - 1/2 cup
- Black tea bags - 2
- Water - 4 cups
Let's Get Started
- Boil 2 cups of water in a pot. Once boiling, add the tea bags and let it steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool.
- In another pot, boil the remaining 2 cups of water. Add the tapioca pearls and cook according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain the pearls and rinse under cold water.
- In a small saucepan, heat the sugar with 1/4 cup of water until it dissolves into a syrup. Let it cool.
- To assemble the tea, divide the cooked tapioca pearls between two large glasses. Pour the syrup over the pearls.
- Fill the glasses with ice cubes, then pour in the tea, leaving some space for the milk.
- Top off each glass with milk, stir well, and serve immediately.
