Let's Get Started

  1. Wash the spinach and mustard greens thoroughly and chop them finely.
  2. Heat the oil in a large pan and add the cumin seeds. Once they start to sizzle, add the chopped onion and sauté until it turns golden brown.
  3. Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped green chili to the pan and sauté for a few more minutes.
  4. Add the chopped greens to the pan along with the garam masala, turmeric, and salt. Mix well and cook on a medium flame for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Once the greens are cooked, use a hand blender to puree the mixture until it is smooth.
  6. Serve the saag hot with naan or rice.
