Let's Get Started

  1. Marinate the lamb in yogurt for at least 2 hours, or overnight if possible.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped onions. Cook until they turn golden brown.
  3. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan and sauté for a few minutes.
  4. Add the pureed tomatoes, red chili powder, garam masala, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt to the pan. Cook until the oil separates from the masala.
  5. Add the marinated lamb to the pan and cook on high heat for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Cover the pan, reduce the heat to low, and let it simmer for about 1.5 hours or until the lamb is tender.
  7. Serve the Rogan Josh hot with naan or rice.
