Roasted Turkey Breast with Herb Butter
A succulent roasted turkey breast basted with a flavorful herb butter. Perfect for a family dinner or a small Thanksgiving gathering.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Lemon - 1, zested and juiced
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, sage) - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
- Butter - 1/2 cup, softened
- Turkey breast - 1 (6 to 7 pounds), bone-in, skin-on
Let's Get Started
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- In a bowl, combine the softened butter, chopped herbs, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and lemon zest and juice.
- Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels. Loosen the skin with your fingers and spread half of the herb butter under the skin.
- Spread the remaining herb butter all over the outside of the turkey breast.
- Place the turkey breast on a rack in a roasting pan. Roast for about 1 1/2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the turkey rest for 15 minutes before carving. Serve with your favorite sides.
