Roasted Red Pepper and Chili Sauce
This flavorful sauce is made with roasted red peppers and spicy chili peppers, perfect for adding a kick to your dishes.
Ingredients - Serves 8
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Red chili peppers - 2
- Red bell peppers - 4
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Cut the red bell peppers in half and remove the seeds and stems.
- Place the red bell peppers and red chili peppers on a baking sheet, skin side up.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
- Roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the peppers are charred and softened.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
- Peel off the skin from the peppers and discard.
- In a blender or food processor, combine the roasted peppers, chili peppers, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and sugar.
- Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
- Transfer the sauce to a jar or container and refrigerate until ready to use.
