  1. Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, paprika, black pepper, salt, chili powder, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, making sure to cover both sides.
  4. Place the ribs on a baking sheet, cover with aluminum foil, and roast in the oven for 2.5 hours.
  5. Remove the ribs from the oven and increase the temperature to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Brush the barbecue sauce all over the ribs, then return them to the oven, uncovered, for another 30 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized and sticky.
  7. Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
