Let's Get Started

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a large saucepan, combine the rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer until the water is almost fully absorbed, about 10-15 minutes.
  3. Add the milk and sugar to the saucepan and stir well. Increase the heat to medium and cook, stirring frequently, until the mixture is creamy and the rice is soft, about 45 minutes.
  4. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the pudding into serving dishes and let cool. The pudding will thicken as it cools.
  6. Before serving, dust the top of each pudding with cinnamon. Enjoy!
