Reuben Sandwich
A classic deli sandwich made with corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Russian dressing - 1/4 cup
- Swiss cheese - 4 slices
- Sauerkraut - 1/2 cup, drained
- Corned beef - 8 oz, thinly sliced
- Rye bread - 4 slices
Let's Get Started
- Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Spread Russian dressing on one side of each slice of rye bread.
- Layer corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese on two slices of bread.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread, dressing side down.
- Spread butter on the outside of each sandwich.
- Place the sandwiches in the skillet or griddle and cook until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.
- Slice the sandwiches in half and serve warm.
