Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee in a pan, add the cashews and raisins, fry till they become golden. Remove them and keep aside.
  2. In the same pan, add the semolina and roast on a low flame till it becomes golden and aromatic. Remove it and keep aside.
  3. In the same pan, add water and sugar. Let the sugar dissolve completely.
  4. Then add the roasted semolina slowly, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  5. Cover the pan and cook on a low flame till the semolina absorbs all the water.
  6. Add the remaining ghee, cardamom powder, fried cashews, raisins and saffron strands. Mix well.
  7. Cook for another 2-3 minutes on low flame.
  8. Rava Kesari is ready to serve.
