Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Boil the milk in a heavy bottomed pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the lemon juice to the milk and stir until the milk curdles.
  3. Drain the curdled milk and wash it under cold water to remove the lemon flavor. Squeeze out the excess water.
  4. Knead the milk curd to make a smooth dough and divide it into small balls.
  5. In another pan, combine the sugar and water and bring it to a boil.
  6. Add the cheese balls to the boiling sugar syrup and cook for about 15 minutes.
  7. Add the cardamom powder and rose water to the pan and stir gently.
  8. Remove from heat and let the rasgullas cool. They will absorb the sugar syrup and become spongy.
