Let's Get Started

  1. In a saucepan, mix the sugar, rice flour, and cornstarch. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the rose water.
  4. Pour half of the mixture into a flat, rectangular pan. Spread evenly and let it cool.
  5. Pour the remaining mixture into the pan and spread evenly. Let it cool completely.
  6. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Place the pan in the oven and bake until the top is caramelized and has a burnt appearance.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool. Cut into squares and garnish with ground cinnamon before serving.
