Tavuk Gogsu
Tavuk Göğsü is a traditional Turkish dessert made with chicken breast and milk. It's a unique pudding with a delicate flavor and smooth texture.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Rose water - 1 tablespoon
- Rice flour - 3 tablespoons
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Milk - 1 liter
- Chicken breast - 1, boneless and skinless
Let's Get Started
- Boil the chicken breast in a pot of water until fully cooked, then drain and let it cool.
- Once cooled, shred the chicken breast into very fine fibers.
- In a separate pot, combine the milk, sugar, and rice flour. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
- Add the shredded chicken to the milk mixture and bring to a simmer. Cook for 30 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens into a pudding-like consistency.
- Remove from heat and stir in the rose water and vanilla extract.
- Pour the mixture into a mold or serving dishes and let it cool. Once cooled, place in the refrigerator to chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
