  1. Season the pork shoulder with salt and pepper.
  2. Place the pork shoulder in a slow cooker and add the barbecue sauce, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the pork is tender and pulls apart easily with a fork.
