Presidio Philly Cheesesteaks
A delicious and hearty sandwich filled with thinly sliced steak, melted cheese, and sautéed onions and peppers.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Hoagie rolls - 4
- Provolone cheese - 8 slices
- Green bell pepper - 1, thinly sliced
- Onion - 1 large, thinly sliced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Ribeye steak - 1 pound, thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- Season the steak with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the steak and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the onion and bell pepper and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Return the steak to the skillet and top with the provolone cheese. Cover and cook until the cheese is melted, about 2 minutes.
- Divide the steak mixture among the hoagie rolls and serve.
