Italian Sausage and Peppers Sandwich

Let's Get Started

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the sausages and cook until browned on all sides, about 10 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the bell peppers, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until the vegetables are soft, about 10 minutes.
  4. Slice the sausages and return them to the skillet. Stir to combine with the vegetables.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  6. Split the hoagie rolls and fill with the sausage and pepper mixture. Top with the provolone cheese.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
