Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. In a bowl, combine the prahok and shrimp paste. Mix well until smooth.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped onion. Cook until fragrant and golden brown.
  3. Add the prahok and shrimp paste mixture to the pan. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the fish sauce, sugar, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, and sliced chili. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
  5. Pour in the water and continue cooking for 5 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
  6. Serve the prahok kapi with steamed rice and fresh vegetables on the side.
  7. Enjoy!
