Pork Tocino
Pork tocino is a popular Filipino breakfast dish made with marinated pork slices.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Brown sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Pineapple juice - 1/2 cup
- Pork shoulder - 1 pound, thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine pineapple juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Add the thinly sliced pork shoulder to the marinade. Make sure each slice is coated evenly. Marinate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Heat cooking oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the marinated pork slices in batches until browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
