Philly Cheesesteak Burger
A delicious fusion of the classic Philly cheesesteak and a juicy burger. Topped with sautéed onions, peppers, mushrooms, and melted provolone cheese.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Burger buns - 4
- Provolone cheese - 4 slices
- Mushrooms - 1 cup, sliced
- Green bell pepper - 1, thinly sliced
- Onions - 1 large, thinly sliced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Ground beef - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- Season the ground beef with salt and pepper and form into 4 patties.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook until desired doneness, about 4 minutes per side for medium.
- In another skillet, heat the remaining olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions, bell pepper, and mushrooms and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Place a slice of provolone cheese on each patty and cover the skillet until the cheese is melted.
- Toast the burger buns and place a patty on each bottom bun. Top with the onion, bell pepper, and mushroom mixture and the top bun.
