Mushroom and Lentil Burger
These delicious mushroom and lentil burgers are packed with flavor and make a great vegetarian option for burger lovers.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Cheese - 4 slices
- Pickles - 4 slices
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Lettuce - 4 leaves
- Burger buns - 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Dijon mustard - 1 tablespoon
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Egg - 1
- Breadcrumbs - 1/2 cup
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1/2 cup, finely chopped
- Mushrooms - 8 ounces, finely chopped
- Lentils - 1 cup, cooked
Let's Get Started
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked lentils, chopped mushrooms, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Form the mixture into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
