Peking Duck Tacos
A fusion of Chinese and Mexican cuisine, these Peking Duck Tacos are filled with succulent duck meat, fresh vegetables, and a tangy hoisin sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Spring onions - 4, julienned
- Cucumber - 1, julienned
- Tortillas - 8
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1/4 cup
- Hoisin sauce - 1/2 cup
- Duck - 1 whole
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Rinse the duck and pat dry. Place on a rack in a roasting pan.
- In a small bowl, combine the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger. Brush the mixture all over the duck.
- Roast the duck in the preheated oven for 2 hours, or until the skin is crispy and the meat is cooked through.
- While the duck is roasting, prepare the vegetables.
- Once the duck is done, let it rest for a few minutes before carving.
- Shred the duck meat and set aside.
- Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat.
- To assemble the tacos, spread a spoonful of hoisin sauce on each tortilla. Top with shredded duck, cucumber, and spring onions.
- Serve the Peking Duck Tacos immediately.
