Pariserbøf
Pariserbøf is a traditional Danish dish consisting of a seasoned beef patty topped with a raw egg yolk, onions, capers, and pickles.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Parsley - For garnish
- Pickles - 4 slices
- Capers - 2 tablespoons
- Red onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
- Egg yolks - 4
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Dijon mustard - 1 tablespoon
- Bread crumbs - 2 tablespoons
- Egg - 1
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Ground beef - 500 grams
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, egg, bread crumbs, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.
- Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- Remove the patties from the skillet and keep them warm.
- In the same skillet, fry the egg yolks for about 1 minute, or until the edges are set but the yolks are still runny.
- To serve, place a patty on each plate and top it with a fried egg yolk. Garnish with sliced red onion, capers, pickles, and parsley.
- Serve the Pariserbøf with a side of crispy fries or a fresh salad.
