Middle Eastern Kofta Kebabs
These flavorful Middle Eastern Kofta Kebabs are made with a mixture of ground beef and lamb, fresh herbs and spices, and are grilled to perfection.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Wooden skewers - 8, soaked in water for 30 minutes
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Mint - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
- Parsley - 1/4 cup, finely chopped
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ground lamb - 1/2 pound
- Ground beef - 1/2 pound
Let's Get Started
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground lamb, garlic, onion, parsley, mint, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a long, thin sausage shape. Thread each portion onto a wooden skewer.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- Grill the kofta kebabs for about 7 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and nicely browned.
- Serve the kofta kebabs with pita bread and tzatziki sauce, if desired.
