Panini Alla Milanese
Panini alla Milanese is a classic Italian sandwich made with breaded and fried veal cutlets, topped with cheese and served on a crispy panini roll.

- Fresh basil leaves - 8
- Tomato slices - 4
- Sliced mozzarella cheese - 4 slices
- Panini rolls - 2
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
- Breadcrumbs - 1 cup
- Eggs - 2
- Veal cutlets - 2 pieces
Let's Get Started
- Pound the veal cutlets to flatten them to about 1/4 inch thickness.
- In a shallow dish, beat the eggs with salt and pepper.
- In another shallow dish, mix the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Dip each veal cutlet into the beaten eggs, then coat it with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the breaded veal cutlets and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove the cutlets from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
- Preheat a panini press or grill pan.
- Slice the panini rolls in half horizontally.
- Place a cooked veal cutlet on the bottom half of each roll.
- Top each cutlet with 2 slices of mozzarella cheese, 2 tomato slices, and 4 fresh basil leaves.
- Cover with the top half of the roll.
- Grill the panini in the panini press or grill pan until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
