Summer Truffle Pizza
A gourmet pizza featuring the rich, earthy flavors of truffles and mushrooms, complemented by creamy mozzarella and a hint of garlic.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Summer truffles - 2 ounces, shaved
- Fresh basil leaves - A handful
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Truffle oil - 1 tablespoon
- Mozzarella cheese - 1 cup, shredded
- Mushrooms - 1 cup, sliced
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Pizza dough - 1 lb
Let's Get Started
- Preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it preheats.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and mushrooms and cook until the mushrooms are soft, about 5 minutes.
- Spread the mushroom mixture evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a border for the crust.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella over the mushrooms.
- Drizzle the truffle oil over the pizza.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- If using a pizza stone, carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated stone in the oven. If not, place the pizza on a baking sheet and put it in the oven.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Top with fresh basil leaves and shaved summer truffles before serving.
