Paneer Tikka Masala
Paneer Tikka Masala is a popular Indian dish made with grilled cottage cheese cubes in a spicy and tangy tomato curry.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Cilantro - For garnish
- Cream - 1/4 cup
- Ginger - 1 inch piece, grated
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Onions - 2, finely chopped
- Tomatoes - 4, pureed
- Salt - To taste
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Yogurt - 1/2 cup
- Paneer - 200 grams, cubed
Let's Get Started
- Marinate the paneer cubes in a mixture of yogurt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, lemon juice, and salt. Let it sit for at least 2 hours.
- Grill the marinated paneer cubes until they are golden brown.
- Heat oil in a pan and saute the onions until they are golden brown.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan and saute for a few more minutes.
- Add the pureed tomatoes to the pan and cook until the oil separates from the mixture.
- Add the grilled paneer cubes to the pan and mix well.
- Add the cream to the pan and cook for a few more minutes.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve hot with naan or rice.
