Pan Seared Cod in White Wine Tomato Basil Sauce

Let's Get Started

  1. Season both sides of cod with salt and pepper. Dust with flour.
  2. Heat oil and butter in a large pan over medium heat.
  3. Add cod to the pan, sear on both sides until golden and cooked through. Remove cod and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add onion and garlic. Sauté until onions are translucent.
  5. Add tomatoes, wine, and basil. Simmer until the wine reduces by half.
  6. Add lemon juice, stir, and return the cod to the pan. Spoon sauce over the cod.
  7. Cook for a few more minutes, until the fish is heated through.
  8. Serve the cod with the sauce.
