Pad Pak
Pad Pak, or Thai stir-fried vegetables, is a healthy and flavorful dish packed with colorful veggies and a delicious stir-fry sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon, mixed with 1 tablespoon water
- Water - 2 tablespoons
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Mixed vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, broccoli, baby corn) - 4 cups
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
Let's Get Started
- Heat the oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium heat.
- Add the garlic and stir-fry until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, until they start to soften.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and water. Pour this sauce over the vegetables.
- Stir in the cornstarch mixture and continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened and the vegetables are cooked to your liking.
- Serve the Pad Pak hot, with steamed rice if desired.
