Odeng
Odeng, also known as Eomuk, is a popular Korean street food made with processed fish cake. It's often served on skewers in a warm broth.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Skewers - 4
- Dried kelp - 1 piece
- Water - 4 cups
- Green onion - 1, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Fish cakes - 8 pieces
Let's Get Started
- Soak the skewers in water for 10 minutes to prevent them from burning.
- Thread the fish cakes onto the skewers.
- In a pot, add water, dried kelp, soy sauce, sugar, and minced garlic. Bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium and add the fish cake skewers.
- Let it simmer for 20 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
- Remove the kelp and serve the skewers in the broth, garnished with chopped green onions.
