Ingredients - Serves 6

Let's Get Started

  1. Rinse the grape leaves and blanch them in boiling water for 2-3 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until soft.
  3. Add the rice to the pan and cook for a few minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Add the dill, mint, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the pan and stir to combine. Remove from heat.
  5. Lay a grape leaf flat and place a spoonful of the rice mixture in the center. Fold in the sides and roll up the leaf to encase the rice.
  6. Repeat with the remaining grape leaves and rice mixture.
  7. Place the stuffed grape leaves in a large pot and cover with water. Cover the pot and simmer for about an hour, until the rice is cooked and the grape leaves are tender.
  8. Serve the Ntolmadakia warm or at room temperature, with lemon wedges on the side if desired.
