Chicago Style Pork Chop Sandwich

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a grill pan over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the onions and garlic and cook until softened and caramelized, about 10 minutes.
  4. While the onions are cooking, toast the buns in the oven or on the grill.
  5. To assemble the sandwiches, spread mustard on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a pork chop, followed by the sautéed onions and pickle slices. Cover with the top half of the bun.
  6. Serve the sandwiches hot, with extra pickles and mustard on the side.
