This is a traditional Chinese dish, also known as 'Zha Jiang Mian'. It's a hearty and comforting noodle dish with a rich soybean paste sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Carrot - 1, julienned
- Cucumber - 1, julienned
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Soybean paste - 3 tablespoons
- Ground pork - 200 grams
- Noodles - 400 grams
Let's Get Started
- Cook the noodles according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- Heat a pan over medium heat, add the ground pork and cook until browned.
- Add the soybean paste, soy sauce, sugar, green onions, and garlic to the pan. Stir well to combine.
- Simmer the sauce for 10 minutes, until it thickens.
- Divide the noodles among four bowls. Top with the sauce, cucumber, and carrot.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
