Italian Braised Beef Ribs with Gremolata

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Season the beef ribs with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the ribs and brown on all sides. Remove the ribs and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, add the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Cook until the vegetables are soft.
  4. Add the tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add the wine and scrape the bottom of the pot to loosen any browned bits.
  6. Add the beef broth, crushed tomatoes, and bay leaves. Return the ribs to the pot.
  7. Cover the pot and simmer for 2-3 hours, or until the ribs are tender.
  8. To make the gremolata, combine the parsley, garlic, and lemon zest in a small bowl.
  9. Serve the ribs with the sauce and top with the gremolata.
