Let's Get Started

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, minced garlic, sugar, fish sauce, black pepper, baking powder, and water. Mix well until the mixture becomes sticky.
  2. Divide the pork mixture into 12 portions. Shape each portion into a sausage shape and thread onto a soaked wooden skewer.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the skewers for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the pork is cooked through and slightly charred.
  5. Serve the skewers hot, with rice or vermicelli noodles and your favorite dipping sauce.
