Kkochi Eomuk
Kkochi Eomuk is a popular Korean street food consisting of skewered fish cakes cooked in a flavorful broth.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Red chili pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Dried kelp - 1 piece
- Green onion - 1, chopped
- Minced garlic - 1 teaspoon
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 4 cups
- Wooden skewers - 4
- Fish cakes - 8 pieces
Let's Get Started
- Soak the wooden skewers in water for about 10 minutes to prevent them from burning.
- Thread two fish cakes onto each skewer.
- In a large pan, add water, soy sauce, sugar, minced garlic, green onion, dried kelp, and red chili pepper flakes. Bring to a boil.
- Once the broth is boiling, add the skewered fish cakes. Cook for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the fish cakes have absorbed the flavors of the broth.
- Remove the fish cake skewers from the broth and serve hot.
