Mysore Pak
Mysore Pak is a rich and delicious sweet dish from the South Indian cuisine, made with gram flour, ghee and sugar.
Ingredients - Serves 10
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Sugar - 2 cups
- Ghee - 1 cup
- Gram flour - 1 cup
Let's Get Started
- Heat 1/2 cup of ghee in a pan and add the gram flour. Roast it on low flame until it turns aromatic.
- In another pan, add sugar and water. Stir it on medium flame until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Keep stirring the sugar syrup until it reaches a one-string consistency.
- Now, slowly add the roasted gram flour to the sugar syrup while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Add the remaining ghee gradually and keep stirring the mixture.
- When the mixture starts leaving the sides of the pan, turn off the flame and pour the mixture into a greased tray.
- Let it cool for a while and then cut it into desired shapes.
- Delicious Mysore Pak is ready to be served.
