Let's Get Started

  1. In a large bowl, mix the gram flour with water to make a smooth batter.
  2. Heat the ghee in a pan and drop the batter through a perforated spoon to form boondis. Fry until golden brown and remove with a slotted spoon.
  3. In another pan, make a sugar syrup by boiling the sugar and water together until it reaches a one-string consistency.
  4. Add the fried boondis, cardamom powder, raisins and cashews to the sugar syrup and mix well.
  5. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then shape into round ladoos while the mixture is still warm.
  6. Let the ladoos cool completely before serving.
