Mutton Dalcha

Ingredients - Serves 4
- Coriander leaves - for garnish
- Garam masala powder - 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Tomatoes - 2, finely chopped
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Onions - 2, finely chopped
- Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
- Chana dal - 1 cup
- Mutton - 500 grams
Let's Get Started
- Wash the mutton and chana dal thoroughly. Add them to a pressure cooker with turmeric powder, salt and enough water to cover. Cook for 4-5 whistles or until the mutton is tender.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add the onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add the ginger garlic paste and sauté for a few more minutes.
- Add the tomatoes, red chili powder and garam masala powder. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
- Add the cooked mutton and dal to the pan. Mix well and cook for a few more minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
