Pani Puri
Pani Puri, also known as Golgappa, is a popular Indian street food snack. It consists of a round, hollow puri filled with a mixture of flavored water (pani), tamarind chutney, chili, chaat masala, potato, onion, and chickpeas.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt - To taste
- Black salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Chaat masala - 1 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
- Mint leaves - 1/2 cup
- Tamarind chutney - 1/2 cup
- Green chilies - 2, finely chopped
- Onions - 1, finely chopped
- Potatoes - 2, boiled and mashed
- Puri - 40 pieces
Let's Get Started
- Prepare the pani by blending the mint leaves, coriander leaves, green chilies, lemon juice, chaat masala, black salt, and salt with some water. Strain the mixture and keep it in the refrigerator to chill.
- Mix the mashed potatoes, onions, and a little bit of tamarind chutney together.
- Crack a small hole in the top of each puri.
- Fill each puri with the potato and onion mixture.
- Dip each filled puri into the chilled pani just before eating. Enjoy!
