Mushroom and Chicken Alfredo
A delicious and creamy pasta dish with sautéed mushrooms and tender chicken in a rich Alfredo sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
- Pasta - 12 oz, cooked according to package instructions
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
- Heavy cream - 1 cup
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Mushrooms - 8 oz, sliced
- Chicken breast - 2, boneless and skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces
Let's Get Started
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic. Sauté until the mushrooms are golden brown and the garlic is fragrant, about 5 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the sauce has thickened slightly, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta and cooked chicken back into the skillet. Toss everything together until well coated in the Alfredo sauce.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
