Mumbai Sandwich
A popular street food from Mumbai, this sandwich is packed with flavorful vegetables and chutneys.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Sev - For garnish
- Salt - To taste
- Chaat masala - 1 teaspoon
- Beetroot - 1 small, boiled and sliced
- Cucumber - 1 medium, thinly sliced
- Tomatoes - 1 medium, thinly sliced
- Onions - 1 medium, thinly sliced
- Potatoes - 2 medium, boiled and sliced
- Green chutney - 2 tablespoons
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Bread slices - 4
Let's Get Started
- Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
- Spread green chutney over the butter.
- Arrange slices of potato, onion, tomato, cucumber, and beetroot on two of the bread slices.
- Sprinkle chaat masala and salt over the vegetables.
- Cover with the remaining two bread slices, buttered side down.
- Heat a sandwich maker or grill pan. Grill the sandwiches until they are golden and crispy.
- Cut the sandwiches into triangles and garnish with sev before serving.
